Here in Scotland everyone is entitled to a free standard NHS Eye Examination, at set intervals depending on your age and health status.
The Enhanced Eye Examination available at Iris Blue Optical goes much further - we offer advanced scans and images that give us an excellent baseline for your eye health. These advanced scans can help us identify any issues earlier, when they can be more easily rectified.
You can choose to upgrade your examination at the time or join our loyalty program, iRewards, which entitles you to as many scans as are needed for you, plus many additional benefits. For just £5/month (£4/month for Contact Lens Patients), as an iRewards member, you will benefit from:
Enhanced clinical examination includes
- 3D OCT Scanning (including for glaucoma risk assessment and macular disease)

- An Unlimited number of clinical appointments as required, free of any additional charge **

- Adjustment and servicing of glasses at any time, by Evelyn, our Eye Wear Specialist.

Our Quality Care Promise
Your eye health is very important to us at Iris Blue Optical. As an iRewards member, we will ensure that:
- Your 45 minute eye examination is always completed from start to finish by Morven, our optometrist.
- Morven will provide you with detailed advice and recommendations to support your unique eye health needs.
- Evelyn, our Eye-Wear Specialist, will ensure that your glasses have been manufactured to the highest standard, and meet our rigorous quality control.
Your iRewards monthly payment can be easily and safely made by monthly direct debit, removing any stress regarding unexpected costs.
The programme costs just £5 per month, and if you are a contact lens wearer just £4 per month over and above your existing direct debit payment.
