I am an Optometrist and Dispensing Optician with over 25 years of experience looking after my patients and their families. As an owner of Iris Blue Optical, it is my personal mission to ensure that the clinical care you receive is of the highest quality, whatever your needs.
Throughout my career in the wider Glasgow area, I have diagnosed, supported and managed a wide variety of patients with numerous complex eye conditions.
As technology in optometry has developed over the years, in order to support my patients, I have always been an early adopter of advanced scanning. My knowledge and expertise is such that I am regularly invited to train fellow opticians throughout the UK. I lecture and demonstrate on advanced imaging techniques.
You may even have heard me on "Ask the Optometrist" health surgery on the morning show on BBC Radio Scotland. I use my expertise to answer widely varying listener queries and concerns about their eyes and vision.
Whilst I am passionate about all aspects of optometry, I particularly enjoy children's eye care, contact lens work, managing complex eye conditions, and the exciting new area of myopia control.

I have over 20 years of experience in the Glasgow area optical community. As an owner of Iris Blue Optical, I will ensure your visit to our new independent practice is enjoyable and professional. I am here to help you, and to help you choose your ideal eye wear solution, to meet all your needs.
Part of my extensive experience in all aspects of providing excellence in eye wear, I have worked in the technical environment producing glasses to the highest standards. Because I understand the manufacture and build of quality glasses, it informs my advice and recommendations to each and every patient.
I have also spent many years working in and managing optical practices, large and small. I take pride in advising and recommending the right products with the right fit for every patient.
As your Eye Wear Specialist, I am passionate about ensuring that every patient leaves Iris Blue, sure in the knowledge that they have the perfect eyewear solution for their unique needs.

We are your new Eye Care and Eye Wear Studio in Glasgow's West End.
Our location on Crow Road, at Broomhill Cross, is only a 5-10 mins walk from Hyndland Train Station, with plenty of free on-street parking nearby.
We are on the route of the 4/4a and 16 buses, and we also have bicycle parking right outside for those of you who fancy a greener option!
